In spring 2001, the Northern Virginia Mustang Club rented Mason-Dixon Dragway in Hagerstown for a track session. I went along as photographer and adviser to one of the Mustang owners.
Anyway, here's your photos:
Pretty cool trick of the light. If it had said "CIVIC" you might have been able to read the reflection. ;) OK guys, that was a joke, put away the rope... please?
If only all traffic jams were this cool. I wanted to get a shot of everybody from the roof but the chicken gas station manager just about blew his hemorrhoids at the idea. When did Americans turn into such wusses anyway. (Hi mom)
A rainbow of Mustangs in white and... um... black. Well, there WERE other colors there. I swear. It's just that I was using... um... black and white film. Yeah. Don't think about it for too long and it all makes sense.
One o' your boys, apparently keeping an eye on the wrong light. (All right, you with the gun, sit down. You cut a good light but I cut a better light and I had the camera. Thbbbt.)
A Corvette Z06. Man, if the starter can't look interested with that sitting next to him, then the guy's got no pulse.
The finish line, which I managed to photograph despite track management getting their panties in a wad because I dared to try taking pictures of cars coming rather than going. All hail the zoom lens. Sorry there's not more, but nobody really had any requests or anything, so I didn't shoot that many pix.
